Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in IT was signed between Ministry of Transport & Communications, Republic of Kazakhstan and Microsoft International

The Memorandum was signed by Minister of Transport & Communications, Republic of KazakhstanAskar Zhumagaliyev, President of Microsoft International Jean-Philippe Courtois and Director General of Microsoft Kazakhstan Martin Quirke.

In particular, the document contemplates cooperation between the parties in usage of information technologies in both public and private sectors, as well as in healthcare and private business. Thus, for instance, the Memorandum parties will cooperate in creating the "Open Government" conception establishing the business innovation and incubation, improving Internet security.

As to education sector, Microsoft will enlarge cooperation in terms of the "Education Partnership" Program, including teachers' professional growth, creation of curriculum and promotion of innovation schools program. Also, the Company will offer the IT Academy Program to train students to IT.

In his turn, Minister of Transport & Communications Askar Zhumagaliyev noted that to Kazakhstan, the building up of Information Society and use of information and communication technologies as a tool to reach the goals set forth in Kazakhstan – 2050 Strategy is a necessary condition for the country's successful long-term economic growth and for improvement of its competitiveness. Given that, the Ministry will further work at arranging the dialogue and the partnership relations with all big IT companies worldwide.
