53 new cars for Kazakh police force

On 8 December 2011, 53 cars were allocated to the police force within the Karaganda area, Kazakhstan.

This announcement coincides with the 20th anniversary of the country’s independence and economic stability. With increase public confidence and movements towards a democratic state, Head of the State, Noursultan Nazarbaev, aims to modernise the law enforcement systems.

Nazarbaev has stated that 7.5 billion tenge, of which the cars were funded from, was invested in improving law enforcement within the Karaganda area last year.

The General Major of the police force has thanked the government for upgrading their security vehicles, giving his reassurances that this investment will help the police strengthen their services to combat public disorder.
