Dahua hybrid DVR receives 2011 excellence award

The recently launched Dahua hybrid DVR-DH-DVR1604HF-U has been awarded the Golden Excellence Award by virtue of its strong performance and innovation.

The awards ceremony for the Golden Excellence Award granted by the CPSE (China Public Security Expo) took place in Shenzhen Air International Hotel on 29th Oct. 2011. This award is often regarded as one of the highest honours in the security industry in China and the winners are considered to be the most innovative and promising manufacturers in their field.

DH-DVR1604HF-U is based on a powerful platform, an "alliance" of a dual-core CPU and a new chipset, which ensures its enhanced performance in terms of preview, recording, playback, network transmission and etc. To be more exact, for analogue cameras, it can support up to 16 channels of cameras for encoding/decoding at D1; and for IP cameras, it supports 16ch at D1/8ch at 720p/4ch at 1080p processing; moreover, the application of 3D deinterlacing technology makes the output video smoother. All that generates reassurance that crisp and clear images will be produced and that is of great importance for the forensic side in particular.

In addition, like other high performance N6 platform products, DH-DVR1604HF-U has strong HDMI, VGA and TV output abilities at 1080p and it also supports a spot-out feature, which allows surveillance scenes to be easily controllable. Its smart search function offers searching efficiency by simply marking the area to search, then the system will automatically come up with the relevant video recordings in the right order from the list. Or, alternatively users can go to the logs area (a menu item), simply click on the list of logs to instantly playback the relevant video automatically.

As for its storage capability, DH-DVR1604HF-U can accommodate 8 SATA HDDs that up to 24TB (1 eSATA up to 12TB, 4 USB2.0). It is offered with web server, CMS(DSS/PSS) and DMSS built-in as standard.

The new array of Dahua DVRs based on the N6 platform marks a new benchmark for the HD DVR in security industry. For Dahua, the received honor is not only an approval, but also fully reflects the strong capability of Dahua’s R&D team in the field.
