Kazakhstan’s traffic police to get dashboard cameras by 2014
All traffic police vehicles in Kazakhstan will be equipped with dashboard cameras by 2014, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Committee for Road Traffic Policing Berik Bisenkulov has revealed. He also confirmed that 500 devices would be installed this year as a priority.
“The move will allow us to eliminate a lot of problem situations on our roads. We can monitor the work of traffic police, and naturally these cameras will be some of the main tools to combat corruption,” Bisenkulov noted.
